What is HOSA?

HOSA is a leadership organization for students who are interested in the medical field.

 

History

HOSA was founded in November 1976 with 6 states. The first advisor of HCHS HOSA was Mrs. Helen McCaleb in 1977. During the first National Convention, the state of Tennessee was recognized for the creation of the HOSA symbol.

 

Mission

The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality healthcare by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the healthcare community.
